The Beuth University of Applied Science was inaugurated in 1971 through a merger of several engineering academies. The classical disciplines such as Mechanical, Electrotechnical and Civil Engineering thus establish the core, which more recently are augmented by the innovative schools of Informatics, Bio- and Medical Technology. In total, the Beuth University trains 9500 students in 72 different branches in 8 departments. There are 220 national and international Co-operations proceeding with 130 industrial partners. Thanks to the central location in the quarter 'Berlin Mitte', Tegel Airport, the Central Station, Zoo, Kurfürstendamm as well as the magnificent avenue Unter den Linden are all readily accessible.

Please note: The initially planned venue, the main building at TU Berlin, will be refurbished in March 2010. Therefore the venue is changed to Beuth Hochschule für Technik Berlin. Moreover, the initially given dates (8-11 March 2010) have had to be shifted to one week later (15-18 March 2010) for organisational reasons.
